About

Google reCAPTCHA is the most familiar bot-defense widget on the web. v3 runs invisibly and returns a risk score; v2 is the "I’m not a robot" checkbox. Useful when an agency has reCAPTCHA keys already across other client projects and wants one less account to manage.

Setup

  1. 01 In Google Cloud Console → reCAPTCHA, register a new v3 (or v2) site.
  2. 02 Restrict the key to your storefront domain(s) and copy the site key + secret.
  3. 03 In Margord → Settings → Bot defense, pick reCAPTCHA and paste both values.
  4. 04 Checkout now runs the reCAPTCHA check on every submission.
